Home modifications paid by Medicaid and state programs
Most of our customers don't pay out of pocket. We work with the programs and plans that cover home changes, and with the coordinators who request them.
- NJ-registered contractor, insured
- Free home visit
- Medicaid, VA & private pay

Programs we work with
- NJ DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities): paid through Acumen, the state's payment agency. We are an approved Acumen vendor (#312504).
- NJ FamilyCare long-term care (MLTSS) health plans: your care manager can request home modifications.
- New York Medicaid programs, OPWDD and waivers such as NHTD and TBI (our New York vendor enrollment is in progress).
- The VA, private insurance, nonprofit programs and private pay.
For support coordinators and care managers
Send a referral with initials only, no health details. We do the home visit, write the itemized quote to the evaluator's specifications and the program's rules, and track the authorization dates so the work is finished and billed on time. You can follow every job, with photos, in our secure portal.
For families
Ask your support coordinator or care manager about home modifications, or call us and we'll explain the steps. We'll be there from the first visit to the final walk-through.
Questions people ask
What is an environmental modification (EMOD)?
It's a change to the home, such as a ramp, accessible bathroom or wider doorway, that helps a person live safely and independently. Medicaid waivers and state programs often pay for them.
How long does approval take?
It varies by program and plan. Approval usually takes longer than the work itself. We tell you where things stand at each step.
Can coordinators upload evaluations securely?
Yes. Each job has a secure upload link for evaluations, approvals and prior authorizations. Please don't email them.
