What we build
- Roll-in showers with no curb, for wheelchairs and shower chairs.
- Walk-in showers with a low threshold, a fold-down seat and a handheld shower.
- Walk-in tubs and tub-to-shower conversions.
- Grab bars anchored into the wall framing, not just the drywall.
- Comfort-height toilets, slip-resistant flooring, anti-scald valves and easy-to-reach controls.
- Wider bathroom doors and space to turn a wheelchair where the room allows.
Done with care
Bathroom work is personal. We plan around the person's routine, keep a working bathroom whenever we can, and clean up every day. Licensed plumbers and electricians handle that part of the work, and we pull permits when required.
Who pays for an accessible bathroom
Bathroom changes can be covered by NJ DDD through Acumen, NJ FamilyCare MLTSS, New York Medicaid long-term care plans and waivers, and VA home modification grants for eligible veterans. Private-pay customers get a clear written quote before any work starts.
Questions people ask
What's the difference between a roll-in and a walk-in shower?
A roll-in shower has no curb at all, so a wheelchair or shower chair rolls straight in. A walk-in shower has a very low threshold and suits people who walk with support.
Can you convert my tub into a shower?
Yes. A tub-to-shower conversion is one of the most common changes we make, and it usually fits in the space the tub used.
Do grab bars really need to be anchored?
Yes. A grab bar must hold a person's full weight, so we anchor it into the wall framing or proper blocking.
