Questions people ask

What is an E-mod?

Short for environmental modification: a change to the home, such as a ramp, accessible bathroom or lift, that helps a person with a disability live there safely. OPWDD and New York Medicaid programs can pay for them.

Does OPWDD pay for home modifications?

Yes, for people enrolled in the OPWDD HCBS waiver, when the modification is needed and approved. Ask your Care Manager to start the request.

Do you work in New York City?

Not yet. New York City is coming soon. Today we serve Orange County. Rockland and Westchester counties are coming soon.
